All of the Contestants at the Final,  were in the Judge’s and the audience view,  Excellent.  Head Judge, Mr David Fitzpatrick said it was a very difficult task trying to choose a winner.    Long deliberations resulted in first prize being awarded to Lucy Rae, Turnbull High School.   Lucy spoke on the topic ‘Snowlflakes’  The remaining finalists who all drew second place were:-

Riya Banerjee, Hutchesons’ Grammar School

Martin Mullaney, Holyrood Secondary School

Molly Scales, The Glasgow Academy

Eva Pryce, St Aloysius’ College

Lucy Rae from Turnbull High School was the overall winner of the competition on the night.  Lucy spoke clearly and eloquently on the subject of ‘Snowflakes’.  She also elicited quite a few laughs in her address and was a worthy winner of the Martin Lavery Cup
