Please note the terms of the undernoted copy e-mail
which we have received today, 20th January

"Could you inform the solicitors of a change in
financial circumstances with court services please. Our remit does
not allow us the opportunity to pay people fares home should they
be directed to the social work unit by your staff. It would be in
exceptional circumstances that we would pay out for a bus fare home
and this would need to meet a specific criteria - normally if they
are know to a social work area team, and the team are willing to
finance this.
Could you please advise solicitors to stop sending their clients to
our office with the expectation that we will give money out for
fares. We are able to see people re first appointments for orders
just made, or if they wish to discuss some specific problem, but
not for financial reasons.
Thanks for your help in this matter
